Covid Precautions
Putting on a pantomime is a year-long process, involving many different people, agencies and businesses. This year, as you can imagine, we have had some unprecedented hurdles.
From the very beginning we have been determined to put on a show. The show has been cast and rehearsals have been in full swing since September.
At every stage we have worked with Dudley Council and Stourbridge Town Hall (where we are rehearsing). We have followed every national guidance to the letter, which has enabled the whole cast to rehearse every week. We use the whole building to allow separation, a one-way system and different entrances for different groups. Our chaperones have become our guardians, and keep us safe.
The atmosphere in rehearsals has been wonderful and is a tremendous well-being support to all who love theatre and pantomime.
What next...
We continue to work with all agencies to secure the appropriate seating plans for our guests, and ensure safety for you, our cast and the many 'backstage' members who keep the show running.
As the restrictions seem to change it would be inappropriate to detail the process for our individual shows yet. Please be assured that your safety is a top priority.
FAQs
Is the show going ahead?
In a word, YES. We are constantly working towards our amazing production in March 2021.
Are you still rehearsing during the second lockdown?
Our cast want to continue rehearsing, using videos taken at earlier rehearsals and via Zoom meetings. We cannot wait to return to normal rehearsals in the same room!
Will there be Covid restrictions in the theatre?
Yes. We regularly review government advice, meet with Dudley Council and the Town Hall. We have amended the auditorium seating, and examined one way systems for entrance and exit.
Will the arrangements change?
This will depend upon the latest Goverment advice, which we will take care to follow.
